Kitesurf course group

The kitesurfing course for beginners who also have time during the week. The course always takes place from Monday to Friday in small groups of a maximum of 4 participants per kitesurfing instructor.

In your first course you will learn all the basics with us. After a short spot briefing (where we explain all the special features of the kitesurfing area), we start setting up the equipment straight away.
After setting up and a safety briefing, we launch the kite and then head straight into the water. After a few exercises to get used to the kite, you’ll do your first body drags – now the fun and action begins.

Structure kitesurf course

The 2-day beginners course is divided into 3-4 steps. Each step builds on the previous one, so no steps can be skipped. As a rule, level 3 is reached, but some make it to level 4.

Step 1: Introduction, kite handling, wind window
  • Spot briefing and safety briefing
  • Setting up the kite and kite handling, safety systems
  • Explanation of the wind window – launch the kite, fly in a controlled manner and landing the kite
Step 2: kite control and body dragging
  • Controlled launch and flying of the kite in the water
  • Launch the kite out of the water (relaunch)
  • Bodydrag on downwind course and upwind course

Optional: VDWS kite license

After the first day of the course there will be a theory session at our kite camp to acquire the VDWS kitesurfing license. The license and the seminar are not included in the course price. This unit can be booked at the same time as your booking. You can find all information about the license here.

Where do we meet and what happens next?

Our kitesurfing school is located at the Ketjil campsite in Oostvoorne. You can find directions in our spot guide.

I have already done a course. Is the group course suitable for me?

Can you get on the board and already glide a few meters?
Then book a 2-hour private course.
