Kitesurf course group

The kitesurf course for beginners who also have time during the week. The course takes place every Monday to Friday in small groups of a maximum of 4 participants per kitesurfing instructor.

In your first course you will learn all the basics with us. After a short introduction to the spot (here we explain all the special features of the kite area), we immediately start setting up the equipment.
After setup and a safety briefing, we launch the kite and then we go straight into the water. After a few exercises to get used to it, you can do your first body drags – now the fun and action begins.

Frequently asked Questions (FAQ)

Where do we meet and what happens next?

We meet at our station at the Ketjil campsite at 9.30 a.m. Here you will receive a wetsuit and a harness including a safety leash. We then head to the beach where, after a short theoretical introduction, we start with practical exercises.

How or where can we find you?

Our kitesurfing school is located at the Ketjil campsite in Oostvoorne. You can find directions in our Spotguide.

I have already taken a course. Is the group course suitable for me?

You get on the board and can already glide a few meters?
Then book a private course lasting 2 hours.
In one-to-one lessons we will improve your kite control, posture while riding and edging the board. The goal of this course is to run upwind and return to the starting point. After the private lessons, you can continue practicing with the material for the rest of the day, of course included in the price.

Can I stay overnight with you?

In our kitesurf camp at Camping Ketjil you can also sleep in our beautiful sheddies. Equipped with 2 beds, electricity and light, you can comfortably get through the night. Info and booking here.

Do I need insurance for the course?

Apart from health insurance or international health insurance, you do not need any other insurance for the course. During the course you are insured through our school liability insurance. However, as soon as you practice alone, i.e. in a rental agreement without direct supervision from one of our kitesurf instructors, we recommend that you take out liability insurance that covers kitesurfing.
In collaboration with AXA Insurance, the VDWS offers a comprehensive insurance package for kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing, SUP, kayaking, paddling, rowing, surfing, wingsurfing as well as snowkiting and motor boats (up to 44 kW).
You can find information about this insurance here: VDWS Safety Tool
